Vintage Tea Party Photoshoot
If you have a little one that is into tea parties, now is your sign to create a tea party photoshoot! Cove’s birthday is just around the corner and I wanted to create something fun since our tradition so far is to do an at-home photoshoot for her birthday. She’s turning 3 and is starting to love dress-up, pretend, and tea parties! It seemed like the obvious choice to create this shoot and I hope it inspires you to do the same because these memories will last a lifetime.
Want to create an easy and timeless tea party? Better yet, want to make it a photoshoot to have sweet memories forever?!
All you need are some vintage tea sets that can be thrifted from your local thrift store or try checking some yard sales. All of these cups and saucers were my Grandma’s and she passed just a couple months ago so it made this photoshoot that much more sweet.
Tip: I also love the look of different patterns to makes it more whimsical and eclectic!
Now, grab those stuffed friends and invite them to the party! We have Mr. Teddy who is wearing linen overalls and has a vintage look to him, and Miss Ballerina who smells like Rose. I just gathered a bunch of items from around the house like wooden stools, baskets, and some cake stands to add height and texture variation.

Some other ideas you could do with this photoshoot are to make a mini charcuterie board with little goodies to eat. I loved using the scalloped painted wall in the kid’s room as the backdrop but you could use a paper backdrop or get creative with hanging flowers or using lace fabric! The options and ideas are endless!
*For the picture below I took some dried baby’s breath and held it in front of the lens to make a blurry/vintage effect and
I LOVE how it looks!*
I love the detailed shots! Those little hands won’t stay little forever and I’m so glad I can look back on this fun memory of our Cove turning 3!
These roses are flowers I saved and dried from my brother’s funeral and have such a special meaning so this photoshoot was filled with love and joy.
Of course mommy had to throw on a dress and hop in for a picture! I love this tradition and hope you can create some fun memories too!
Happy creating!
xoxo,
