mushroom Stools

A couple years ago I made a mushroom table out of a flower pot and some wood discs that turned out so cute! I haven't had official stools for it because we've just used some log stumps…..until now!!

I found these MAMMUT Ikea Stools brand new on FB marketplace just shy of what I would have paid at the store. We don't have an ikea here so if you do, the good news is these stools are only $10 a piece.

I primed the stool tops with this 123 primer I had on hand and gave it good coverage!

All prepped and ready for paint!

I mixed the paint colors I had on hand which were red, orange, brown, and even a little purple to create a deep red color to match the table.

For the polka dots I used a paint sample can I had on hand and only did about five large polka dots so it would match the tabletop.

To finish the top of the stools i covered them in a thick layer of water based polyurethane which dries clear.

They turned out cute and now it looks like a full set! I guess I'll have to add another with a little one on the way!
